Happy "V-day stuff is 50% off" Day!

So my friend reminded me that the day after Vday is what I should be looking forward to- where all the delicious candy is 50% off! So I set my alarm, hoping I could get a butt-load of goodies at discounted prices. Of course, today when I woke up, I didn't care too much about my alarm, and just went at my own pace to the stores (realistically, around 2pm, ha!). Still, there was plenty of heart-shaped boxes, chocolates, and sweets in stock and on sale, hurray! I didn't get too greedy, but who could pass up Reese's peanut butter cups and Ghirardelli filled chocolates? *drool* On top of all this, I completely forgot that not only are candies and chocolates on sale, but ALSO the decorative goodies too! I think I may of gotten a little carried away, but being me, I want to plan my future wedding and all that jazz and be a crazy DIY Bride, so I found some things here and there to add to my arsenal. Here's a picture of the damage:
A lot of stuff, right?
And yes, your eyes do not deceive you, there are two cupcake pans there as well. My BF and I do have a little obsession with cupcakes, and we would always go to our local grocery store to buy them. I'm feeling more crafty now-a-days though, so I think I'll try my hands at baking more and see what I can do. Oh, and have you guys ever heard of Enjoy Cupcakes? Ohhhh my goodness! It's a vintage trailer in California that makes all sorts of delectable cupcake treats! What I would do to have them come to Indiana and be at my future wedding!!! What makes them MORE amazing is their menu! I can't believe they've become soo creative and have such a wide array of cupcakes that they can make! My mouth starts to drool when I read such goodies as Vanilla Mascarpone Chardonnay, Chocolate Mint Fusion, Black Forest, Hot Cocoa, Irish Car Bomb, Cocoa Creme Brulee, (yes I'm still listing more!) Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, Strawberry Lemonade, Spiced Apple Cider, and Crummy Grammy Apple!!! Oh... god how I hate being on a diet sometimes, I just want to go into a sugar overload right now! But yes, back to the reason why I ranted this... because I saw such an amazing flavors listing, I want to get creative and try to make some of my own cupcakes too! Maybe if I'm confident enough, I can try and make some cupcakes for my "dream wedding" too! Wish me luck!
Now to end the day with Big Biddy, being all dramatic, and not looking into the camera, as usual. =(^_^)=

  1. Yaay! Looks like you got some good finds! Reese's peanut butter cups are one of my favs of all time. Never did get sick of it. Can't wait to see posts on your cupcake making experience! We LOVE cupcakes too! There's way too many places here to go to, but I feel that any cupcake is always a good cake!

    And BB is so awesome.

  2. Have you perfected the best way to eat a cupcake? Tear off the "top" with the icing, and smoosh the bottom over the icing, so its like a sandwich! Less mess and gets it in your mouth faster, LOL!
